How to prepare?

Onions and beetroot
Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp Mustard oil
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 green Cardamom (crushed)
  • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Red chillies
  • ½ tsp Asafoetida 
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder 
  • ½ tsp Coriander powder 
  • ½ tsp Garam masal
  • Salt According to taste
  • 1 tbsp Ginger paste
  • ½ cup Onion (sliced)
  • 1 cup Brinjals
  • 1 sliced Tomato
  • 1 tsp Fennel seeds (saunf)
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves (garnish)
  • 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Water

Instructions
  • In a pressure cooker, add mustard oil, cinnamon, cumin seeds, green cardamoms, kashmiri red chilies, asafoetida powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and little salt.
  • Mix them well together.
  • Add ginger paste and mix it well.
  • Add sliced onion and saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add brinjals, tomatoes, fennel seeds and water and cover the pressure cooker for 2 whistles
  • Sprinkle lemon juice and mix it properly.
  • Serve hot and garnish with coriander leaves.
