In a pressure cooker, add mustard oil, cinnamon, cumin seeds, green cardamoms, kashmiri red chilies, asafoetida powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and little salt.
Mix them well together.
Add ginger paste and mix it well.
Add sliced onion and saute for 2 minutes.
Add brinjals, tomatoes, fennel seeds and water and cover the pressure cooker for 2 whistles
