How to
prepare?
Ingredients
½ cup Basmati rice
1 cup Whey water
½ cup Onions (sliced)
1 tbsp Tomato (chopped)
2 Green chili (chopped)
2 tsp Mint (chopped)
2 tsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
1 tsp Red chili powder
½ tsp Garam masala powder
½ tsp Coriander powder
1 tbsp Ghee
Salt According to taste
Whole Spices
1 Bay leaf
1 Star anise
2 Cloves
1 Cinnamon stick
¼ tsp Cumin seeds
1 Black Elaichi
5 strands of kesar
Cooking
Instructions
Wash and soak rice in water for 20 minutes. In a pressure cooker, cook whey water and soaked rice for 3 whistles.
Heat ghee in a pan add whole spices when aromatic then add sliced onions and green chili; Saute well.
Add ginger garlic paste to it and saute until the raw smell goes.
Add chopped mint and coriander to it and saute till they shrink.
Add chopped tomatoes to it along with all the dry powders and saute well.
When the tomatoes become mushy, add boiled whey protein rice. Mix them well.
Serve hot with cucumber raita.
