How to prepare?

Onions and beetroot
Ingredients
  • ½ cup Basmati rice
  • 1 cup Whey water
  • ½ cup Onions (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Tomato (chopped)
  • 2 Green chili (chopped)
  • 2 tsp Mint (chopped) 
  • 2 tsp Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp Red chili powder
  • ½ tsp Garam masala powder
  • ½ tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • Salt According to taste

Whole Spices

  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1 Star anise 
  • 2 Cloves 
  • 1 Cinnamon stick 
  • ¼ tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 Black Elaichi
  • 5 strands of kesar

Instructions
  • Wash and soak rice in water for 20 minutes. In a pressure cooker, cook whey water and soaked rice for 3 whistles. 
  • Heat ghee in a pan add whole spices when aromatic then add sliced onions and green chili; Saute well. 
  • Add ginger garlic paste to it and saute until the raw smell goes.
  • Add chopped mint and coriander to it and saute till they shrink. 
  • Add chopped tomatoes to it along with all the dry powders and saute well.
  • When the tomatoes become mushy, add boiled whey protein rice. Mix them well. 
  • Serve hot with cucumber raita.
